Check this out: http://www.lrl.state.tx.us/ . Its the Legislative Reference Library of Texas. A patron asked about the ethnic make-up of the current TX Legislature and if you look under "What's New" and click on "Statistical Profile 2003"; and there it is.

Which database indexes the journal I am looking for?

Looking for a particular journal or magazine in a database? Try Houston Public Library's alphabetical serials list to see which database indexes a particular serial. You will need a Houston Public Library Card (still free for anyone in TX) to use the database hyperlinks but this is an easy way to see which databases index a periodical and head over to our database list to access the article.

This looks like a useful site for searching for Obituaries from the Houston Chronicle and other Texas and USA newspapers, sadly the Conroe Courier is not included.
